Swiss Open Verbier 2024
Welcome
After the glorious times of paragliding back in the nineties in the area, we are excited about organizing the swiss championships in Verbier from the 11th to the 17th of August. This mountainous region is well known to offer many flying days all year round.

Everything will happen in le Châble at the bottom station in the valley

Meteo-Infos and decision on delaying and carrying out:
Infos start on 8.8. (Thursday evening), latest decision on carrying out 2 days before the planned start.
Price Giving Ceremony as soon as possible after last Task
Registation fee: CHF 290.-

Remaining free places:
- Afterwards registration up to the maximum number of participants according WPRS.
Cancellation of a Registration:
In the case of injury, and where a medical certificate is supplied, or other circumstances beyond the pilot’s control, refund of the registration fee will be decided on a case-by case basis.
Cancellation of the Event
The pilot will be refunded all costs, but not the registration fee of CHF 100.
Remaining amount (CHF 190)
On Thursday, 20h, we will make a meteo-info and send the invoices for the remaining amount (CHF 190). This invoice must be paid on site before registration!

Accomodation
Booking.com or airbnb offers various accommodations for different budgets. We suggest you go through their website as soon as you are selected (there are not a lot of low budget accomodations).There are also a few bed and breakfast. Remember the location of the headquarters is not in Verbier but in Le Châble
If you choose an accommodation which is not at walking distance from the cable car, coming there by car in the morning is easy and there is a lot of parking places which are free (during the day)
There is also the option to camp in front of the HQ. After registration, you will have to go to the tourist info point to get your lift pass. Toilets and showers are available at HQ, and there will be electricity on the campsite.
