Meteo-Preliminary information for the first Swiss Cup flex
Our first Swiss Cup flex is planned for next weekend. Unfortunately, there seems to be a cold snap on Thursday-Friday, so it is rather unlikely that it will take place (10-20%).
A very rough preliminary information in the form of notes:
The forecast is still very uncertain. What is certain is that disturbances will graze and cross us. But it is not yet possible to say exactly when and where the disturbances will pass through at the weekend.
Precipitation everywhere on Thursday
Snow line around 1500-2000m
Followed by a short foehn phase
Friday
Snow line 700-1000, but little, hardly any precipitation in Valais, more towards the east.
On Saturday a longer thermal flight is most likely in the west, but on Sunday the next disturbance will come from the west.
The best weather is in Valais.

3000m 20 kn southwest
Jura: Possibly too much wind
Sunday north of the Alps further east
Clouds, possibly showers
At 3000 10-15 SW
Worse towards the east (more clouds, precipitation, wind)
Ticino: More precipitation, especially on Sunday
