Palz Open - Task 1 & 2

# Task 1 We start the competitiom with a strong but flyable northwind. The start is a challenge but the first leg demands everything from the pilots. The Luv side is broken and does not lift enough. To get up to cloud base, you need to get something from the lee side. Fun and rough. For the next turnpoint up in the north, we have to be faster than the shades comming in. For those who were fast enough goal was reachable. # Task 2 Today we have less wind. But the thermals are weaker and to fly high and stay high is key. The task goes up the noth, then to the west and back to an elevated goal at our campsite. With difficult thermals some pilots loose their patience and fly like monkeys. Many close calls and a mid-air with a swiss pilot involved (both are uninjured) was the result. Beside these incidents, the task was medium fast with some slower sections and a beautiful scenerie. Me and Markus managed to stay with the leading gaggle.
