If you are too late, you have to buy your own ticket! - Departure 9:04 to Grindelwald (normal train to Grindelwald). If you arrive late, you can enter the train, we will be in the back of the train with the tickets. - 10 Minutes walk to the First-Station - Meeting point Grindelwald First valley station 09:50. Tickets Firstbahn to the Take Off will be handed out to those who do not yet have one - Briefing directly at the launch site 11:15 - Take-off 12:00, Airstart 13:00 - 60 km flight, first landings maybe at Giswil or Interlaken Meteo-Prognose für Grindelwald-Interlaken-Brünig Samstag Die Prognosen haben sich verbesser, die Modelle sind einigermassen kongruent: Bewölkung Ab 12 Uhr Zirren, ab 14 Uhr rasch mittelhohe Bewölkung und nur noch etwa 50% Einstrahlung, danach weitere Verdichtung der Bewölkung. Ab 12 Uhr wenig Saharastaub Druckgradient steigt bis Mittag auf 5 hp Wind Boden 5-10kmh aus westlichen Richtungen, nördlich des Brünig aus Nord 1500m schwach. Interlaken Tendenziell West, am Brünig schwacher Südost 2000m schwach aus nördlicher Richtung, Brünig 10-20 kmh Süd 2500m westlich von Interlaken und östlich des Brünig 5-20kmh Süd 3000m alles SSW: Interlaken 20-25kmh, Grindelwald und Brienzer Rothorn bis Brünig 10-15 kmh, Meiringen ist geschützt, aber östlich davon 20-40 kmh 3500m Interlaken 25, östlich davon weniger Thermik Ab 12 Uhr Aufbau von mässiger Thermik, Top 14h 2800-3000m, Sarnen 2600m. Wahrscheinlich ist die Thermik auch bei schwacher Einstrahlung ok, weil sich die Luft auf 2000m und höher etwas abkühlt.

Der Swiss Cup ist abgesagt Die Prognosen sind nun ziemlich stabil, wir rechnen mit etwas Zirren ab 12 Uhr, ab 14 Uhr aber schon mit dichter mittelhoher Bewölkung. Der Grund für die Absage ist vor allem, dass der Saharastaub Zirren und Bewölkung verstärken wird. Achtung! Für die Teilnahme am Swiss Regio ist eine Neu-Anmeldung bis Samstag morgen 7 Uhr nötig (Link). ************************* La Swiss Cup est annulée. Les prévisions sont maintenant assez stables, nous prévoyons un peu de cirrus à partir de 12h, mais déjà une nébulosité moyenne dense à partir de 14h. La raison principale de l'annulation est que la poussière du Sahara renforcera les cirrus et la nébulosité. Attention ! Samstag Die Prognosen haben sich verbesser, die Modelle sind einigermassen kongruent, nur ICON D2 ist immer noch pessimistisch. Wir schätzen die Lage so ein: Bewölkung Ab 12 Uhr Zirren, ab 14 Uhr rasch mittelhohe Bewölkung und nur noch etwa 50% Einstrahlung, danach weitere Verdichtung der Bewölkung. Ab 12 Uhr wenig Saharastaub Druckgradient steigt bis Mittag auf 5 hp Wind Boden 5-10kmh aus westlichen Richtungen, nördlich des Brünig aus Nord 1500m schwach. Samstag Die Bewölkung erreicht uns etwas früher und ausgedehnter als gestern prognostiziert und auch der Druckgradien steigt früher auf die erwarteten 5-6hp. ICON EU ist sehr pessimistisch, die andern Modelle sind nicht ganz so pessimistisch. Bis 12 erwarten wir fast uneingeschränkte Einstrahlung, dann Bewölkungszuname mit Zirrus, später Altostratus (ein wenig Saharastaub ist auch noch im Spiel). Ab 14 Uhr ist die Einstrahlung nur noch rund 40%, später abnehmend. Der Wind ist in der Region Grindelwald-Interlaken wäre kein Problem. Thermik Top Grindelwald um 14h bestenfalls 2800m, weiter im Norden 2500m. Sonntag Am Sonntag viele Wolken mit Aufhellungen am Nachmittag, aber auch eher schlechter als gestern noch prognostiziert (weniger Föhn). Fazit / Entscheidung Wir sind parat, die Infos sind auf der Webseite (siehe Link). Wir warten und entscheiden morgen Freitag Mittag (Go or No Go). Die Chance für Go ist aber kaum 50%. Es tut mir leid, dass wir bis morgen Mittag in dieser Unsicherheit sind, aber wir (Absprache mit Fabrice) fänden es schade, einen Task zu vergeben. Wenn wir den Swiss Cup absagen, werden wir am Samstag ein Regio durchführen - mit denselben Infos. **************************** Samedi La nébulosité nous atteint un peu plus tôt et de manière plus étendue que prévu hier et le gradient de pression augmente aussi plus tôt pour atteindre les 5-6hp attendus. ICON EU est très pessimiste, les autres modèles ne sont pas aussi pessimistes. Jusqu'à 12h, nous attendons un ensoleillement presque illimité, puis une augmentation de la nébulosité avec des cirrus, plus tard des altostratus (un peu de poussière saharienne est aussi en jeu). A partir de 14h, l'ensoleillement ne sera plus que d'environ 40%, puis il diminuera. Le vent ne serait pas un problème dans la région de Grindelwald-Interlaken. Thermiques Top Grindelwald à 14h au mieux 2800m, plus au nord 2500m. Dimanche Dimanche, beaucoup de nuages avec des éclaircies dans l'après-midi, mais aussi plutôt pire que ce qui était prévu hier (moins de foehn). Conclusion / décision Nous sommes prêts, les infos sont sur le site (voir lien). Nous attendons et décidons demain vendredi midi (Go ou No Go). Mais les chances pour Go sont à peine de 50%. Je suis désolé que nous soyons dans cette incertitude jusqu'à demain midi, mais nous (concertation avec Fabrice) trouverions dommage de ne pas proposer un task. Weil die Bewölkung (nach aktueller Prognose) am Nachmittag von Westen her zunimmt haben wir die Idee, in Giswil zu landen. Der Landeplatz dort ist 5 Gehminuten vom Bhf entfernt und der Zug fährt direkt nach Interlaken zurück. Wir haben alle Infos PROVISORISCH hier abgelegt: Siehe Link Ein sehr provisorischer Task wäre dieser hier (Bild) ********************************** Comme les nuages (selon les prévisions actuelles) augmentent l'après-midi à partir de l'ouest, nous avons l'idée d'atterrir à Giswil. Le terrain d'atterrissage est à 5 minutes à pied de la gare et le train retourne directement à Interlaken. Nous avons déposé toutes les infos PROVISOIRES ici : Voir le lien. Saturday Fair and quite stable below 2000m. Cirrus clouds and possible Sahara dust from midday, north-south gradient rising to 4-5 hPa. SW wind increasing in the afternoon in the Jura, 14h 1500m 25kmh, 2000m 30kmh, increasing later. Grindelwald-Interlaken is sheltered from the wind, with moderate to good thermals at 2000m, top 2800 (no cumulus). Sunday Heavily clouded, forecasting still difficult. Interlaken will probably see brightening and some thermals in the afternoon. Wind: Protected by the 4000m peaks up to about 3000m. Conclusion: We will probably go to Grindelwald again and land in Interlaken. Good flying conditions are expected on Saturday. We don't want to cancel Sunday yet, as there is a small chance that we can fly again in Interlaken (although the chances of a sporting task are small). Next info (decision) Thursday evening at 8 pm. PS: Most of the commission members (Comp-League-Commission) would be in favour of a task in the Jura (change of scenery, Jura training). The start at Weissenstein would also be organised, the mountain railway is running again (first day after the revision). However, it seems that the flying conditions in the Jura will be considerably worse. - We are not making a selection for Grindelwald, the take-off site is big enough for 100+ pilots.
