Friday is off too. It comes down to the weekend
We couldn’t put together three usable days. Thursday was cancelled yesterday, and Friday is now off as well. Saturday and Sunday are what’s left to play for and we’re still hoping to fly them.
Where we stand
The plan was to salvage the competition further west, but the conditions won’t give us a clean three-day run. Thursday was already cancelled yesterday, and after weighing the options we’ve had to call off Friday as well.
Why Friday is out
Friday falls to strong westerly winds at Charmey, on top of possible airspace restrictions in the area. Neither is something we can run a fair, safe task around, so it’s not worth holding pilots on standby for it.
The weekend is the goal
That leaves Saturday and Sunday. If the weather turns our way, we’d still run two tasks over the weekend, the location is not yet confirmed and that’s exactly what we’re working towards. We’ll make the final call tomorrow evening. Hold tight, and we’ll be in touch the moment we know.
