Team Switzerland – SRS Roldanillo 2026
Letzter Task & Event-Recap

Der letzte Wettkampftag der SRS in Roldanillo versprach am Startplatz nochmals sehr viel. Geplant war ein Task über knapp 76 Kilometer. Bereits früh zeigte sich jedoch, dass sich der Tag deutlich schwieriger und harziger entwickeln würde als ursprünglich angenommen. Die Wolkenbasis lag tief, das Tal wurde zunehmend abgeschattet und allen Piloten war bewusst, dass unmittelbar nach dem Start eine erste Talquerung anstand.

Viele Piloten hingen bereits am Start an der Wolkenbasis und starteten um 13:15 Uhr in Richtung La Victoria. Dort gestaltete sich die Situation äusserst zäh. Während sich einige Piloten bewusst Zeit nahmen, in den Bergen nochmals Höhe zu machen, mussten andere im Bereich von La Victoria schwache Thermiken ausdrehen. Als die Piloten aus den Bergen ins Tal vorstiessen, kamen sie zwar etwas höher an als jene, die schon da waren, mussten sich aber trotzdem gemeinsam wieder hocharbeiten.

Auf dem Weg zum nächsten Wendepunkt wurde praktisch ausschliesslich schwaches Steigen mitgenommen. Der Task entwickelte sich zunehmend zu einem Kampf ums Überleben. Spätestens am ersten Wendepunkt ging es für die meisten Piloten nur noch darum, überhaupt in der Luft zu bleiben. Ein Teil schaffte es noch, den zweiten Wendepunkt im Flachland zu erreichen, doch der Grossteil der Teilnehmenden stand bereits zuvor ab. Damit war der Task für viele frühzeitig beendet.

Nach dem 2. Wendepunkt konnten sich lediglich vier Piloten in der Luft halten. Einer davon war Raphael Oerer. Nach einem insgesamt schwierigen Wettkampfverlauf, bei dem er bei mehreren Tasks frühzeitig abstand, gelang ihm am letzten Tag nochmals ein solides Resultat. Während zahlreiche Top-Piloten bereits am Boden standen, konnte er sich bis zum Schluss in der Luft halten und beendete den Task auf dem 4. Rang der Tageswertung.

Über den gesamten Wettbewerb hinweg präsentierte sich das Schweizer Team insgesamt sehr stark. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die Leistungen von Simon Steiner, Marco Sommerfeld und Nachwuchstalent Gaetan Gerber, welche sich mit konstanten Task-Resultaten die vorderen Ränge in der Gesamtwertung sichern konnten.

Mit einem Podestplatz sowie zwei Platzierungen in den Top 6 unterstreicht das Schweizer Team seine starke Präsenz an der SRS Roldanillo 2026. Der Wettkampf bot anspruchsvolle Bedingungen über mehrere Tage hinweg und verlangte den Piloten sowohl taktisch als auch fliegerisch alles ab.

Dernière épreuve et récapitulatif de l'événement

Le dernier jour de compétition du SRS à Roldanillo s'annonçait encore une fois très prometteur au point de départ. Une épreuve d'un peu moins de 76 kilomètres était prévue. Mais très tôt, on a vu que la journée allait être bien plus compliquée et difficile que prévu. La base des nuages était basse, la vallée était de plus en plus ombragée et tous les pilotes savaient qu'ils devaient traverser la vallée juste après le départ.

Beaucoup de pilotes étaient déjà accrochés à la base des nuages au départ et ont décollé à 13h15 en direction de La Victoria. Là-bas, la situation était super compliquée. Alors que certains pilotes ont pris le temps de reprendre de l'altitude dans les montagnes, d'autres ont dû exploiter de faibles thermiques dans la région de La Victoria. Lorsque les pilotes sont sortis des montagnes pour entrer dans la vallée, ils sont arrivés un peu plus haut que ceux qui s'y trouvaient déjà, mais ils ont quand même dû remonter ensemble.

Sur le chemin vers le prochain point de virage, ils ont pratiquement uniquement profité de faibles ascendants. La tâche s'est de plus en plus transformée en une lutte pour la survie. Au plus tard au premier point de virage, la plupart des pilotes n'avaient plus qu'un seul objectif : rester en l'air. Certains ont réussi à atteindre le deuxième point de virage en plaine, mais la plupart des participants avaient déjà atterri avant. La tâche s'est donc terminée prématurément pour beaucoup.

Après le deuxième point de virage, seuls quatre pilotes ont pu rester en l'air. L'un d'entre eux était Raphael Oerer. Après une compétition globalement difficile, au cours de laquelle il a abandonné prématurément plusieurs épreuves, il a encore une fois obtenu un résultat solide le dernier jour. Alors que de nombreux pilotes de haut niveau étaient déjà au sol, il a réussi à rester en l'air jusqu'à la fin et a terminé l'épreuve à la 4e place du classement quotidien.

Tout au long de la compétition, l'équipe suisse a fait très bonne figure. Il faut souligner les performances de Simon Steiner, Marco Sommerfeld et du jeune talent Gaetan Gerber, qui ont réussi à se hisser dans le haut du classement général grâce à des résultats constants.

La compétition a été super exigeante pendant plusieurs jours et a demandé aux pilotes de donner tout ce qu'ils avaient, tant sur le plan tactique que sur le plan technique.

Final Task & Event Recap

The final day of competition at the SRS in Roldanillo promised to be another exciting one at the launch site. A task of just under 76 kilometers was planned. However, it soon became clear that the day would be much more difficult and challenging than originally anticipated. The cloud base was low, the valley was becoming increasingly shaded, and all pilots were aware that they would have to cross the valley immediately after takeoff.

Many pilots were already hanging at the cloud base at the start and took off at 1:15 p.m. in the direction of La Victoria. The situation there proved to be extremely tough. While some pilots deliberately took their time to gain altitude again in the mountains, others had to turn out weak thermals in the La Victoria area. When the pilots advanced from the mountains into the valley, they arrived slightly higher than those who were already there, but still had to work their way back up together.

On the way to the next turning point, they encountered almost exclusively weak climbs. The task increasingly turned into a battle for survival. By the first turning point at the latest, most pilots were just trying to stay in the air. Some managed to reach the second turning point in the lowlands, but the majority of participants had already landed. This meant that the task was over early for many.

After the second turning point, only four pilots were able to stay in the air. One of them was Raphael Oerer. After a difficult competition overall, in which he dropped out early in several tasks, he managed to achieve another solid result on the last day. While numerous top pilots were already on the ground, he was able to stay in the air until the end and finished the task in 4th place in the daily ranking.
