Die Wetteraussichten verbessern sich von Tag zu Tag.

Ein umfangreiches Hochdruckgebiet erstreckt sich von den Britischen Inseln über Mitteleuropa bis in den Mittelmeerraum und bestimmt bis mindestens Montag mit sehr trockener und milder Luft das Wetter in der Schweiz.

Samstag
Es wird sonnig erwartet. Über den Bergen bilden sich am Nachmittag nur wenige flache Quellwolken.

In den Niederungen liegen die Temperaturen am frühen Morgen bei rund 2 °C mit verbreitetem Bodenfrost, in etwas erhöhten Lagen bei etwa 7 °C. Am Nachmittag werden bis zu 23 °C erreicht.

Vor allem am Nachmittag kann zeitweise schwacher bis mässiger Nordwestwind aufkommen. In den Bergen weht schwacher bis mässiger Westwind.

Die Modelle zeigen eine gute Thermikentwicklung ab dem späten Vormittag, mit zunehmend besseren Steigwerten am Nachmittag und einer Basis von etwa 3400–3800 m.

Sonntag
Auch am Sonntag bleibt es meist sonnig. Zeitweise ziehen hohe Wolkenfelder durch und über den Bergen bilden sich am Nachmittag vereinzelt flache Quellwolken.

Die Temperaturen liegen am Morgen bei etwa 4 °C in den Niederungen mit leichtem Bodenfrost, in erhöhten Lagen um 8 °C und am Nachmittag bei rund 20 °C.

In den Niederungen weht schwache bis mässige Bise, in den Bergen meist schwacher Nordostwind.

Einschätzung
Aktuell sehen sowohl Samstag als auch Sonntag sehr vielversprechend aus.

Am Samstag könnte der Wind am Nachmittag etwas stärker werden, während am Sonntag etwas mehr Bewölkung möglich ist.

Insgesamt sehen die Bedingungen derzeit sehr gut für ein erfolgreiches Swiss Cup Wochenende in Grindelwald aus.

The weather outlook continues to improve from day to day.

A large high-pressure system stretches from the British Isles across Central Europe into the Mediterranean and will dominate the weather in Switzerland until Monday with very dry and mild air.

Saturday
Sunny conditions are expected throughout the day. In the afternoon, only a few shallow cumulus clouds may form over the mountains.

Temperatures in the lowlands will start around 2°C in the morning with widespread ground frost, around 7°C in slightly elevated areas, and rise to approximately 23°C in the afternoon.

A weak to moderate northwesterly wind may develop at times, especially during the afternoon. In the mountains, winds remain weak to moderate from the west.

The models show good thermals developing from late morning onward, with climb rates strengthening during the afternoon and cloudbase around 3400–3800 m.

Sunday
Mostly sunny again, with occasional high clouds and a few shallow cumulus clouds over the mountains in the afternoon.

Morning temperatures around 4°C in the lowlands with slight ground frost, around 8°C in elevated areas, and up to 20°C during the day.

Weak to moderate Bise in the lowlands, while in the mountains winds remain mostly weak from the northeast.

Thermal conditions again look promising with good task potential.

Assessment
At the moment, both Saturday and Sunday look good!

Saturday may bring slightly stronger winds in the afternoon, while Sunday could have a little more cloud cover.

Overall, conditions currently look very good for a successful Swiss Cup weekend in Grindelwald.
