Unfortunately, the forecasts have worsened, with more cloud cover predicted than yesterday, and the Sahara dust is also likely to dampen the radiation. But our big problem is the wind. Surprisingly, there is hardly a break in the wind forecast.

The place I'm keeping an eye on for private flying on Sunday is Wald, Alp Scheidegg. But it's probably often too windy or cloudy there too.

FRIDAY
Fairly sunny with high cloud fields. On the main Alpine ridge, cloudy from the south and some precipitation. In the Alps, stormy foehn, in the afternoon partly extending into the neighbouring Central Plateau (13 hp).

SATURDAY
Partly sunny. Clouds and intermittent precipitation on the main Alpine ridge from the south, showers possible in the evening and during the night in other regions. In the Alps, strong to stormy foehn winds (falling from 10hp to 5hp).

SUNDAY
Partly sunny. Overcast and some precipitation on the main Alpine ridge from the south. In the Alps, strong foehn winds will continue (pressure difference increasing from 4 to 8 hp)

MONDAY
Decreasing Föhn. In the morning, still foehn-like clearing in central and eastern Switzerland, then increasingly cloudy from the west and increasing precipitation.

Leider haben sich die Prognosen eher noch verschlechtert, insbesondere wird mehr Bewölkung vorhergesagt als noch gestern, und der Saharastaub dürfte die Einstrahlung auch noch dämpfen. Unser grosses Problem ist aber der Wind. Erstaunlicherweise wird kaum eine Wind-Pause prognostiziert.

Der Ort, den ich für das private Fliegen am Sonntag im Auge behalte ist Wald, Alp Scheidegg. Aber wahrscheinlich hat es auch dort oft zu viel Wind, oder auch Bewölkung.

FREITAG
Mit hohen Wolkenfeldern ziemlich sonnig. Am Alpenhauptkamm aus Süden stark bewölkt und einige Niederschläge. In den Alpen stürmischer Föhn, am Nachmittag teils bis ins angrenzende Mittelland ausgreifend (13 hp).

SAMSTAG
Teilweise sonnig. Am Alpenhauptkamm aus Süden übergreifende Bewölkung und zeitweise Niederschlag, am Abend und in der Nacht auch in den anderen Regionen Schauer möglich. In den Alpen starker bis stürmischer Föhn (von 10hp auf 5hp sinkend).

SONNTAG
Teilweise sonnig. Am Alpenhauptkamm aus Süden übergreifende Bewölkung und etwas Niederschlag. In den Alpen weiterhin starker Föhn (Druckdifferenz von 4 auf 8 hp steigend)

MONTAG
Nachlassender Föhn. Am Morgen in der Zentral- und Ostschweiz noch föhnige Aufhellungen, dann aus Westen zunehmend bewölkt und aufkommender Niederschlag.
