Ein Keil des Azorenhochs hat sich bis zum Alpenraum ausgedehnt und bestimmt heute das Wetter in der Schweiz.
Eine maessige nordwestliche Hoehenstroemung lenkt zeitweise hohe Wolkenfelder zur Alpennordseite.

Zu Beginn noch Wolkenfelder, dann meist sonniges Wetter, am Nachmittag durchziehende hohe und mittelhohe Bewölkung, welche aber die Einstrahlung nur wenig einschränken.

Warmluftadvektion (2°/3 Std), am Morgen schlechte Schichtung (0.2er-Gradient), deswegen verzögerter Aufbau schwacher, nur vereinzelt mässiger Thermik und Bildung von wenigen Cu auf 2700-3000 m.

2 hp Nordüberdruck bei etwa 1018 hp in unserer Region.

2000m 10 kmh West (Lukmanier SW), aber den Hängen entlang Aufwinde
2500m 15-20 kmh West, Südwest
3000m 20-30 kmh Nordwest

Wegen dem verzögerten Aufbau der Thermik und dem wahrscheinlich einsetzenden Abwind am Startplatz müssen wir den Startzeitpunkt sorgfältig planen.

A ridge of high pressure from the Azores has extended to the Alps and will determine the weather in Switzerland today.
A moderate northwesterly high-altitude current will direct high cloud fields to the northern side of the Alps at times.

At the beginning still cloud fields, then mostly sunny weather, in the afternoon passing high and medium cloud cover, which however limits the radiation only slightly.

Warm air advection (2°/3 hrs), poor layering in the morning (0.2 gradient), because of that delayed build-up of weak, only occasional moderate thermals and formation of few Cu at 2700-3000 m.

Due to the delayed build-up of thermals and the likely arrival of a downwind at the take-off site, we need to plan the take-off time carefully.
