Hola Brasil!
Nachdem ich nahezu zwei Tage mit Messen, Trimmen und Stäbchen kürzen in meinen Schirm investiert hatte, stimmt nun die Leistung und ich bin super happy mit dem neuen Jack&Jones-Segel!

Task 1 lief es mir bestechend gut. Zum Schluss war ich etwas konservativer als Baptiste und erreichte die ESS 100 m höher – mit Gleitzahl 1:7.6 ins Goal! Nun kommt das sogenannte Pech ins Spiel, welches uns einen Abwindzyklus bescherte, die Spitzengruppe ist leider komplett abgestanden!

Task 2 – Alfredo Studer meinte: Nichts ändern, nur das Glück auf meine Seite bitten :)
Diesem Rat bin ich heute gefolgt und konnte zum Ende mit Bestzeit in der ESS abschliessen. Baptiste holte genügend Leading-Punkte, um den Tag zu gewinnen.
Wir hatten in die südliche Richtung mit grossen Abschattungen zu kämpfen. Die Zyklen waren extrem kurz und man musste sehr schnell agieren. Gegen Schluss hatte der Führungspulk leider die Zyklen gerade verpasst und das Feld wurde nochmal zusammengeschoben. Am Ende ging der Plan – taktisch verwalten und nur bei 100%igen Chancen angreifen – voll auf.

Ein Wort zu Governador Valadares,
Ein wunderschönes Fluggebiet mit Hammer-Bedingungen, auch an «schlechteren» Tagen! Mir liegt das Gebiet bisher gut und ich konnte mich mit meinem Wert «Geduld» gut anfreunden!

Da ich bereits einen Streicher habe, muss ich konservativ und diszipliniert mitfliegen – dann kommt es gut.

Hola Brasil!
After investing nearly two days measuring, trimming and shortening battens on my wing, the performance is now dialled in and I'm super happy with the new Jack&Jones sail!
Task 1 went brilliantly for me. Towards the end I was a bit more conservative than Baptiste and reached the ESS 100 m higher – gliding into Goal at 1:7.6. Then the so-called bad luck kicked in: a sink cycle hit us and the lead gaggle unfortunately sank out completely!
Task 2 – Alfredo Studer's advice: Change nothing, just invite luck to my side :)

I followed that advice today and managed to finish with the fastest time at the ESS. Baptiste once again collected enough leading points to win the day.
We had to battle big shadow areas heading south. The cycles were extremely short and you had to react very quickly. Towards the end the lead pack just missed the cycles and the field got compressed again. In the end the plan – manage tactically and only attack on 100% chances – paid off perfectly.

A word on Governador Valadares
A stunning flying site with incredible conditions, even on "weaker" days! The area suits me well so far and I've been able to embrace my core value of "patience"!

Since I already have a throwaway result, I need to fly conservatively and with discipline – then things will work out.
We're excited for the days ahead!
