1st task

After a cancelled task the day before due to rain, the weather for the 1st task was a bit dubious, still some humidity and low cealings around 2000- 2200m and winds of 30+ km/h after 15h made the organiser suggest a 50/50 chance of flying a safe 1st task.  

47km task with west wind direction gave perfect soaring conditions for the takeoff and in general good dynamic support at the many west ridges on the area.  It was a fast task with lots of fast dynamic flying on the ridges and no need to thermal more than a couple of turns to make it to the next turnpoints. 

Those who thermaled too many turns lost some valuable positions and better lines at full bar helped to improve some positions.

The first pilots arrived after 1h of race and 75 pilots made more than 800 points, making for the majority of pilots a good start of the comp.
