The OGO is on hold. We’re looking west

Jérôme Kägi 9. June 2026 OGO International Open 2026
Eastern Switzerland won’t hand us a usable window this week, so we can’t run the OGO at Ebenalp as planned. We’re now working on a Plan B further west.

What we’re exploring
Rather than cancel outright, we want to move the competition to Charmey in western Switzerland and fly Friday to Sunday, the same site we used last year. If it goes ahead there, the event runs under a new name: the WGO.

The one thing still open
The G7 Summit. Depending on the airspace restrictions in place around the summit, flying near Charmey that weekend may or may not be possible. We’re confirming this now, and it’s the deciding factor for whether the WGO can happen.

Next step
We’ll make the final call and communicate it tomorrow, Wednesday evening (10 June).

Registration stays open
Registration and deregistration remain open until the decision on Wednesday evening, so you can keep your options open while we lock down the venue.
