Con fare positivo ed una giornata soleggiata, ben 18 piloti si ritrovano in quel di Cimetta. Le previsioni erano corrette e nel pomeriggio una velatura ad alta quota ha bloccato parzialmente l'attività termica. La difficoltà più grande di oggi? Riuscire ad andarsene da Cimetta. Il gradiente era debole e anche arrivando a 1850 m circa, si faceva fatica a trovare una bolla che portava sui 2000m. Era difficile decidere di tentarla oppure no, nella nostra testa regnava sovrano "Ma büti o ma büti mia?". Un dubbio amletico che per questo weekend rimarrà tale, ovvero senza risposta. Una giornata dove tanta pazienza era richiesta e forse un pizzico di fortuna. Ma in tutto questo siamo riusciti ad impostare i nostri strumenti e capire meglio il funzionamento di essi. Un super volo in compagnia con tante vele in termica sopra Cimetta! Il vento era marcato sopra i 2000m e anche un po' in atterraggio, creando storie da poter mandare a Paperissima Sprint :). Confermo la Regio di domani a Cimetta! La decisione è dovuta all'incertezza del vento ad alta quota che, a Carì, con la neve presente potrebbe disturbare il decollo fino a tardi. Mi aspetto un volo più turbolento a Carì rispetto che Cimetta. A sommarsi, nelle previsioni, una nuova velatura ad alta quota che blocca l'irraggiamento solare su tutto il Ticino potrebbe sfavorire parzialmente l'attività termica (Ci sono indecisioni sui modelli per quanto sarà fitta questa velatura). Cimetta sembra più riparato dal vento e possiamo sfruttare il lato Ovest della valle Maggia. Le previsioni sono ancora un po' incerte riguardo a vento e coperture, se rimaniamo positivi un volo di 20-40km è fattibile, in caso contrario proveremo qualcosa di piu piccolo. Decideremo domani in decollo. Diamo di nuovo un'occhiata alla giornata di domenica. Le previsioni sono rimaste piuttosto simili a ieri, abbiamo un'incognita vento da nord-ovest che con il poco gradiente termico al mattino e magari dell'eventuale nuvolosità a media-alta quota può sfavorire i decolli nella neve, con vento non in favore. Soprattutto per quanto riguarda le alpi ticinesi. Questo ci porterebbe in qualsiasi caso ad un decollo tardivo, dalle 13:00 in poi. Nel Dettaglio Nuvolosità Da 2 a 4 ottani (2-3-4/8) nell'alto ticino, ma in migliormento. Da centro in gìù piu pulito con minime velature. Base massima a 2500m in alto ticino (anche se prevedo che se il gradiente è buono possa essere più alta, punto di rugiada in quota, Mentre più verso 2300-2400 massima per centro ticino. Gradiente Dalle 13:00 per l'alto Ticino danno un gradiente in miglioramento con quasi 1°C/100m, che potrebbe creare termiche sportive, insieme all'aria in subsidenza causata dall'anticiclone in movimento sopra la svizzera. Ticino centrale c'è un gradiente di 0.5°C/100m, che però viene bloccato da diverse isotermie in movimento durante la giornata. Ma rimane anche in basso un possibile buon gradiente che si può sfruttare. Vento In alto Ticino c'è ancora una tendenza moderata da Nord-Ovest, alcuni modelli tutto il giorno con 15/20 km/h, alcuni solo fino alle 14. Il gradiente potrebbe permetterci di decollare ma potrebbe essere tricky al momento. In Ticino centrale siamo più riparati con il vento che non dovrebbe disturbare troppo. Ricordo che le previsioni sono fatte in base alle condizioni e i modelli attuali. Ma mancano ancora 36 ore, di conseguenza c'è ancora molto tempo per cambiamenti. È complicato decidere su dove possa essere meglio, a causa della copertura in Leventina che magari potrebbe attivare il giorno troppo tardi e addirittura avere il rischio di non riuscire a decollare. Cimetta potrebbe essere la giocata più "safe" al momento. Spero che vada bene per tutti se teniamo le opzioni aperte di Carì o Cimetta per la giornata domenica e domani alle 19:45 in punto un aggiornamento e conferma di Luogo e orari. Nevertheless, there could still be a good low-level gradient to exploit. Wind In Upper Ticino there is still a moderate north-west tendency. Some models show 15–20 km/h throughout the day, some only until 14:00. The gradient might allow us to take off, but it could be tricky at the moment. In Central Ticino we are more sheltered, with wind that should not disturb too much. I remind you that the forecasts are based on current conditions and models. However, there are still 36 hours to go, so there is still plenty of time for changes. It is complicated to decide where it might be better, due to the cloud cover in Leventina which could activate the day too late and even create the risk of not being able to take off. Es gibt weiterhin eine Unsicherheit bezüglich Nordwestwind, der zusammen mit dem schwachen Temperaturgradienten am Morgen und möglicher Bewölkung in mittleren bis hohen Schichten Schneestarts mit nicht günstigem Wind erschweren könnte. Besonders was die Tessiner Alpen betrifft. Dies würde in jedem Fall zu einem späten Start führen, ab 13:00 Uhr. Im Detail Bewölkung 2 bis 4 Oktas (2-3-4/8) im Oberen Tessin, und ab dem zentralen Tessin südwärts eher klar mit leichten Schleierwolken. Maximale Basis bei etwa 2500m im Oberen Tessin (wobei ich erwarte, dass sie bei gutem Gradient höher sein könnte, je nach Taupunkt in der Höhe), während sie im zentralen Tessin eher bei 2300–2400m liegen dürfte. Gradient Ab 13:00 Uhr zeigt sich im Oberen Tessin ein sich verbessernder Gradient mit fast 1°C/1000m, was sportliche Thermik ermöglichen könnte, zusammen mit absinkender Luft infolge des über die Schweiz ziehenden Hochdruckgebiets. Im zentralen Tessin liegt der Gradient bei 0.5°C/1000m, wird jedoch durch mehrere im Tagesverlauf wandernde Isothermien begrenzt. Dennoch bleibt auch in tieferen Schichten ein möglicherweise nutzbarer Gradient bestehen. Wind Im Oberen Tessin besteht weiterhin eine mässige Nordwesttendenz. Einige Modelle zeigen 15–20 km/h den ganzen Tag, andere nur bis 14:00 Uhr. Der Gradient könnte einen Start ermöglichen, jedoch ist es aktuell noch etwas heikel. Im zentralen Tessin sind wir besser geschützt, der Wind sollte dort weniger stören. Ich erinnere daran, dass die Prognosen auf den aktuellen Bedingungen und Modellen basieren. Es sind jedoch noch 36 Stunden, daher ist noch viel Raum für Veränderungen. Es ist schwierig zu entscheiden, wo es besser sein könnte, da die Bewölkung in der Leventina den Tag eventuell zu spät aktivieren und sogar das Risiko mit sich bringen könnte, nicht starten zu können. Cimetta könnte derzeit die sicherere Option sein. Meteo nel dettaglio per Domenica 22 Febbraio 2026 Tramite modelli previtemp, xctherm e burnair, si prospetta un buon gradiente termico grazie al sabato ventilato che porta via umidità residua. Sarà comunque una tipica giornata invernale dove il gradiente in basso sarà caratterizzato da un'isotermia che bloccherà l'attività termica, anche dovuto alle grandi quantità di neve e aria fredda che è arrivata in ticino gli ultimi giorni. Molto visibile anche nel sud ticino e ticino centrale. Di conseguenza l'opzione più valida sarebbe Carì. Ho ancora dei timori per quanto riguardo il vento, da nord-ovest, che potrebbe essere presente alla mattina di Carì, quindi si potrebbe fare un piano di teoria alla mattina, e uno start task al pomeriggio verso le 13-14. Però questa parte del vento rimane ancora incerta quindi non confermo nè luogo ne orari. Aspettiamo le previsioni di domani venerdì sera. Der Samstag hat sich deutlich verschlechtert, daher streiche ich diese Option und lasse nur Sonntag, den 22. Februar gültig! Laut den Modellen Previtemp, XCTherm und Burnair zeichnet sich dank des windigen Samstags, der die Restfeuchtigkeit abtransportiert, ein guter Temperaturgradient ab. Es wird dennoch ein typischer Wintertag, bei dem der Gradient im unteren Bereich durch eine Isothermie geprägt sein wird, die die Thermik blockiert – auch bedingt durch die großen Mengen an Schnee und kalter Luft, die in den letzten Tagen im Tessin angekommen sind. Dies wird auch im Südtessin und im zentralen Tessin deutlich sichtbar sein. Dementsprechend wäre Carì die sinnvollste Option. Ich habe noch Bedenken bezüglich des Nordwestwinds, der am Morgen in Carì vorhanden sein könnte. Daher könnte man am Morgen eine Theorieeinheit planen und am Nachmittag gegen 13:00–14:00 eine Startaufgabe durchführen. Visione Generale Weekend 21-22 Febbraio 2026: Il fronte caldo, legato ad una depressione al largo delle Isole Britanniche, transita oggi sulle Alpi, portando aria nuovamente più umida; giovedì questo sarà seguito dal veloce transito di una blanda perturbazione. Nel corso della giornata di venerdì, la graduale estensione di una zona di alta pressione dal vicino Atlantico diverrà viepiù determinante, portando ad una stabilizzazione delle condizioni meteorologiche sull'insieme del Paese. I fattori su cui ci concentriamo per questo weekend sono il vento da Nord e l'eventuale stabilità a bassa quota tipica invernale. Come sempre, il mercoledì è presto per fare una decisione definita, quindi ci limiteremo a darci un'idea di cosa ci aspettiamo. Dai modelli sembra che sabato sia la giornata peggiore con tendenza favonica per tutto l'arco della giornata, aggiungendosi una isotermia tra i 1000 e 1500m. Mentre domenica, la differenza di pressione sembra diminuire e un gradiente termico migliore può supportare la riduzione del vento in quota. Basandoci sui modelli attuali non possiamo ancora completamente escludere il Sabato, ma definirei in percentuale di volabilità. Sabato = Volabilità 15% / Domenica = Volabilità 80%

Die Faktoren, auf die wir uns an diesem Wochenende konzentrieren, sind der Nordwind und die mögliche wintertypische Stabilität in den unteren Luftschichten. Wie immer ist es am Mittwoch noch zu früh für eine endgültige Entscheidung, daher geben wir vorerst nur eine Einschätzung unserer Erwartungen ab. Den Modellen zufolge scheint der Samstag der schlechtere Tag zu sein, mit Föhneinfluss über den ganzen Tag hinweg sowie einer Isothermie zwischen 1000 und 1500 m. Am Sonntag hingegen scheint der Druckunterschied abzunehmen, und ein besserer Temperaturgradient könnte eine Abschwächung des Höhenwinds begünstigen.
