Day 2
Task 2 of the Paragliding World Cup was held under favorable flying conditions, marked by a higher cloud base, less wind, and generally good thermals. The organizers set a 70 km race-to-goal task, which initially appeared straightforward but proved more complex in execution.
The most challenging section of the route was the in-and-out cylinder, where many pilots struggled to maintain a good pace and find efficient lines. This segment required both tactical decision-making and strong flying skills, causing significant variation in performance.
Bogdan Bialka (IRL) delivered an outstanding flight, beating the rest of the field by a remarkable six minutes. His performance highlighted both his consistency and ability to capitalize on the day's conditions.
Meanwhile, Swiss pilots faced difficulties with timing and line choice, reaching the goal later than expected despite the overall favorable weather.
Overall, Task 2 tested both speed and strategy, providing a dynamic and competitive day of flying.
