Task 4 - Endlich kalibriert

Dr Task isch e längi Strecki gäge Wind gange, u da isch d'Liniewahl echt entscheidend gsi.
Im Endspurt isch's no einisch spannend worde, wo dr führend Pulk tief isch cho u no e fette 5-Meter-Bart uusdräiht het.

Dr Honorin Hamard het sich wohl chli verschätz u isch zimli höch ufgstige, was es paar Pilote verunsicheret het.
I, dr Baptiste u dr Luc si de mal loszoge, aber Vollgas flüge isch rächt härusfordernd gsi, wil d'Luft zimli turbulent isch gsi.

Hüt mega zfride mit dr zweitbeschte Taskziit, nume 3 Sekunde hinder em schnäue Luc Armant!

Ez blibe no zwei Tasks, mal luege, öb mir no eine über 80 km taks hi bechöme.

Cheers!
Roger

And voilà :)

Today, after what felt like my worst task ever (in my PWC career), I was back in the groove and could keep up with the French guys.

Before the start, it was the usual chaotic circling, and instead of enjoying the view, it was all about staying focused against that 20-knot west wind to get a good position for the start.

The task was a long leg upwind, and the route choice there was definitely key.

In the final glide, things got exciting again when the leading pack came in low and pulled another fat 5-meter thermal.
Honorin Hamard must have misjudged things a bit and climbed way too high, which made some pilots a bit nervous.

Baptiste, Luc, and I then decided to go for it, although flying full speed was quite challenging because the air was pretty turbulent.
Super happy with the second-best task time today, only 3 seconds behind the fast Luc Armant!

Two more tasks to go, let's see if we can squeeze in one longer than 80 km.

Cheers!
Roger
