Zielsetzungen / Erwartungen "Swiss XC League auf Rekordjagt“
Vom 09.10 bis 23.10. 2021 versuchen 8-9 Piloten des XC Liga Kaders, in Brasilien den bestehenden Streckenflug Weltrekord mit dem Gleitschirm zu verbessern. Um die 614km zu überbieten, braucht es ein starkes Team aus jeweils 3 Piloten mit gleichem Flugstil, Material und Motivation, geübtem Bodenpersonal sowie Wetter und Linienglück!

Ziel: Neuer Weltrekord in Free Distance / Declared Goal / Woman

Organisation
Swiss XC League organisiert: Ausschreibung, Selektionen, Planung, Vorbereitungstag, Kommunikation
Fly with Andy organisiert vor Ort: Logistik, Windenschlepp, Unterkünfte

Budget
Swiss XC League und Fly with Andy übernehmen ein Grossteil der Kosten.
Jeder Pilot selbst: Reise, Essen usw.


Flüge
Werden von jedem selbst gebucht. Teamleader macht allerdings Vorschläge. Letztendlich trifft man sich am Freitag Abend in Fortaleza am Flughafen. Ab da geht es mit den Autos nach Caico.

Erfahrungshalber fliegen wir von Caico aus

Abläufe
3er Teams werden gleichzeitig geschleppt und fliegen zusammen los. Eventuell werden nach uns auch noch andere Piloten geschleppt.

Anmeldungen
Es hat sich gezeigt, dass Teamwork und gleichwertiges Material der Schlüssel zum Erfolg sind. Deshalb müssen sich neu 3er-Teams bewerben. Es werden nur Teams selektioniert, die konkrete Chancen auf einen FAI Weltrekord haben. Diese Teams trainieren schon in der Schweiz oder an andern Gelegenheiten miteinander (Funk, Teamfliegen, Taktik). Die Piloten des Teams haben schon bewiesen, dass sie im Flachland zu aussergewöhnlichen Leistungen fähig sind.
Das Selektionskomitee und Andy werden anschliessend die erfolgversprechendsten Teams im Mai auswählen.

- die Liga unterstützt die Teams mit der Infrastruktur (Andy: Schlepp, Rückholung). Somit ist es den Teams überlassen, wie oft sie Fliegen und Weltrekordversuche machen.

- die Teams können sich private Sponsoren suchen. Es wäre auch wünschenswert, wenn die Teams Medienarbeit betreiben (die Liga hilft!)

Objectives / Expectations "Swiss XC League on record hunt".
From 09.10. to 23.10. 2021 8-9 pilots of the XC League squad will try to improve the existing cross-country world record by paraglider in Brazil. To beat the 614km, a strong team of 3 pilots each with the same flying style, material and motivation, trained ground crew as well as weather and line luck is needed!

Goal: New world record in Free Distance / Declared Goal / Woman

Organization
Swiss XC League organizes: Announcement, selections, planning, preparation day, communication
Fly with Andy organizes on site: logistics, winch tow, accommodations

Budget
Swiss XC League and Fly with Andy take over a large part of the costs.
Each pilot himself: Travel, food, etc.


Flights
Will be booked by each pilot. Teamleader will make suggestions. Finally we meet on Friday evening in Fortaleza at the airport. From there it goes with the cars to Caico.

Based on experience we fly from Caico

Procedures
Teams of 3 are towed at the same time and fly together. Possibly other pilots will be towed after us.

Registrations
It has been shown that teamwork and equal material are the key to success. Therefore, teams of 3 must apply. Only teams that have a concrete chance to set an FAI world record will be selected. These teams already train with each other in Switzerland or on other occasions (radio, team flying, tactics). The pilots of the team have already proven that they are capable of exceptional performances in the flatland.
The selection committee and Andy will then select the most promising teams in May.

- the league supports the teams with the infrastructure (Andy: tow, retrieve). Thus it is up to the teams how often they fly and make world record attempts.

- the teams can look for private sponsors. It would also be desirable for the teams to do media work (the league helps!).
