Day 9 in short: not a swiss day. Very interesting task was set. 152km first south-west then north-east with a zig-zag to goal. The conditions were totally different again, with Alex Ploners words: The clouds here are wrong... Low-safe was not possible and at some places the pilots hit some serious sink to the ground. One wrong decision ended often to direct land.

Ruhetag. The weather seems to be flyable but not taskable today. The teamleaders together with the meet director decided to make a rest day today. So the race continues for 3 more days from tomorrow on. The Swiss Team is occupied with free flying, paragliding before the thunderstorm, doing laundry or just haveing a nice day.

Today, quite some E-wind in the forecast. The task let the competitors first south, then east, north-east and back south again. What seemed easy for orientation showed up to be very tricky. To be able to make the task, a fairly good mix of technic (cause of the winddrift of the thermals and lowsafes), tactics (which line was either possible to tick the north waypoint and also fast), positive thinking (a lot had surely their harness open doing lowsafes) and even more experience in task flying. The Livetracking never was so exciting than today for those who watched!!! The day's result show quite some mixing up rankings.

Today, lots of NE winds in the forecast. The task lead the competitors to north, then back to south and west near the beautiful lake ohrid for the final towards E to the goal in the south of Krushevo, 126km. The task was won by Alex Ploner, followed by Attlia Bertok and Franz Herrmann. This leads Franz on the currently overall second place togehter with Alvaro "Nene" Figueiredo Sandoli and the Swiss Team overall to the third place. The day started cloudy and even, which setting up our glider, we caught some rain. The tasksetter set a smaller task north, south and goal just near Krushevo. JD and Ubi landed short, all others in goal. Franz did a fast race, but the leading points and the different gates the pilots took was makeing it difficult to see who won in the goal. Finally Jon Durand won the day. The Swiss team currently at the 4th place, due to good and solid performances.

Day 04, Task 2. The task, 126km. North, South and against the north-east wind back to the goal. First two ones in goal were Marco Laurenzi and Alex Ploner. But there were multiple gates. So we will see the fastest racers only on the ranking.

Tag 2: Der Task wurde vom Safety Komitee wegen einem Unfall am Startplatz (nur leicht verletzt) und schlechten Startbedingungen gestoppt. Tag 3: Der Tag wird gecancelled wegen Abdeckungen, Überentwicklungen und Regenschauer im Tal. Somit zählt der Tag als Ruhetag. Für die nächsten 5 Tage sind die Prognosen sehr gut. Fotos folgen.

The Team got all well to Krushevo. Last preparations are ongoing. Registrations start today and tomorrow, 07. August a training task is announced.

The Delta World Championships are coming up! From 6-19 August 2023, the best hanggliders in the world will compete in Kruševo, Northern Macedonia. Fredy Bircher, Franz Herrmann, Jean-Daniel Kugler, Peter Neuenschwander, Ubaldo Romano and Damien Zahn will fight for the world championship title for Switzerland. Team manager Toni Crottet has set himself a podium finish (individual and team) as a long-term goal for the World Championships. Whether this goal will be achieved at this year's Delta World Championships in Kruševo in northern Macedonia is uncertain. "It would have to go really well for that," says the Delta League boss. For three days, there were beaming faces at the Lehn landing site in Interlaken. The reason for this was the top Delta pilots, because the conditions were great. In the air they enjoyed 3 superlative tasks. With 111km the 2nd day was the longest task. The Swiss Championship was part of the international Swiss Open. Pilots from Italy, New Zealand, Germany and France took part. The former world and European champion Christian Ciech from Italy won the Swiss Open ahead of local hero Petsch Neuenschwander. Against each other in the air, friendly on the ground, this is how the delta scene shows itself. We sat together on the pilots' evening and philosophized about the kilometers flown and also about the upcoming world championships. On the ground, the DT Falkenflue team, together with DC Interlaken, ensured safety, transport and set-up and dismantling. The various helpers were on call around the clock, so that the event lacked nothing and the pilots felt completely at ease. Bärtschi Transport und Event GmbH was the local catering service for food and music. Many thanks on behalf of the SHV to everyone who made this event possible.

Excellent conditions on the 2nd task with 111km for the many participating Delta pilots. They had a lot of fun. Shortly after take-off, the pilots were already hanging at an incredible 3400m. The task let us around lake Brienz with some zig-zags. The 2nd task was won by Christian Ciech from Italy with an average of 50km/h, which makes him 1st in the overall ranking. Conditions tomorrow look good. We are looking forward to it.

Day 1 The Class 1 and 5 had to fly from the Takeoff Falkenflue to the Emmental, Cross the Aaretal to the Gurnigelpass with the Goal in Interlaken, counting 79km. Petsch Neuenschwander did win with an average of 55km/h before Christian Ciech from Italy and Mario Alonzi from France. The Sportclass did something a bit similar, but stayed in the Area. Everyone did the Goal, Tom Kägi before Ferdinand Hainard and Paco Muñoz.

Number on hangglider: It must be possible to clearly identify the aircraft in the air. We have decided to postpone the Delta Swiss Open until next week 16-18 June 2023. Next weather decision is on Wednesday 14 June, 08:00 p.m. the latest. Leider sind die Wetterbedingungen auch am Reservedatum (kommendes Wochenende) nicht gut genug, um eine SM durchzuführen. Dieses Jahr findet folglich keine Delta Club-SM statt. Der DC Falkenflue hat vor Ort in Brenzikofen eine tolle SM geplant – zum Glück nicht ganz umsonst, denn die SM wird im nächsten Jahr 2024 in Brenzikofen ausgetragen. Vielen Dank dem tollen OK – Team für euren Einsatz und die Freude, die SM nächstes Jahr durchzuführen. ************************************ Malheureusement, les conditions météorologiques ne sont pas assez bonnes pour organiser un CS, même à la date de réserve (le week-end prochain). Par conséquent, il n'y aura pas de CS de club cette année. Le DC Falkenflue a prévu un super CS sur place à Brenzikofen - heureusement pas tout à fait en vain, car le CS aura lieu l'année prochaine en 2024 à Brenzikofen. Un grand merci à la super équipe du CO pour son engagement et sa joie d'organiser le CS l'année prochaine.

Die Club-SM in Brenzikofen wird auf den 12.-14.05.2023 verschoben. Der nächste Durchführungsentscheid ist am Mittwoch, 10.05.2023. Das diesjährige Challenge hat ein Ende. 5 Tage wurde gearbeitet und geflogen. 2 Tage an der Falkenflue (danke dem Deltaclub Falkenflue für den herzlichen Empfang!). Einen Tag in Interlaken und einen am Gurnigel. Am Freitag rauchte es in den Köpfen im Sääli der Bahnhöfli Brenzikofen. An verschiedenen selbstlern Workshops wurde am eigenen Level gefeilt und jeder weiss jetzt, wo er steht und was er trainieren will. Le challenge de cette année est terminé. 5 jours ont été travaillés et volés. 2 jours à la Falkenflue (merci au Deltaclub Falkenflue pour l'accueil chaleureux !). Un jour à Interlaken et un à Gurnigel. Vendredi, il fumait dans la tête dans la salle du "Bahnhöfli" de Brenzikofen. Lors de différents ateliers d'autoapprentissage, votre propre niveau a été affiné et chacun sait maintenant où il en est et à quoi il veut s'entraîner.
