After the Zick-Zack to spread the field and the usual turnpoint at Führenalp, the task did lead to the titlis-side again. After this, all came back to the thermal at Brunni, because of the shadow at the other side. Then "Melchtal" - Niederbauen - Pilatus and Goal at a turnpoint above Grafenort. This turnpoint has been choosen as Goal to leave the freedom where to land (at Engelberg rain has been expected early). Shadow did make the hole day difficult. Many pilots did not make it today, and because of some rain we had to stop the race just before Michael Maurer and Stephan Wyss reached Goal.

Attached the provisional rankings, and ... once more new rankings from yesterday ... Weather report for tomorrow: In front of a coldfront we will have a short situation with SW-Wind. Therefor we have two effects: - pre-frontal labilisation - dryer air with the SW-Wind (foen-effect) I think, it is the best day of the week. Briefing 10:00 at Brunnihütte.

The prognosis let start the thermal activity early with a high enough cloud base. I hope, that it does not rain too much now ...

Again very humid airmass with low cloudbase and early congestus and thunderstorms. To spread the field after the start, a waypoint towards Trübsee and back had to be taken twice before the race did lead to Führenalp, Titlis, Stanserhorn and back to Engelberg.

56km in a zick zack at the valley with landing at Wolfenschiessen. The conditions where smooth, except on the final glide because of the valley brise. The Congestus did rise up around the valley, but inside the task area they did not disturb at all. Stephan Morgenthaler and Nanda Walliser did win.

Delegazione ristrettissima iera al Lema, complice il lungo ponte festivo e l'uscita del club in contemporanea, solo quattro piloti in classifica. Nonostante questo, é stata una giornata divertente con termiche belle frizzanti ad inizio pomeriggio, basi sui 1800 poi in rialzo fin verso i 2000. Gradiccioli in nebbia fino alle 16. Quindi abbiamo fatto un percorso a zig zag in pochi chilometri tra la Forcola, Ferraro e Gradiccioli. Insegnamento della giornata: specialmente volando su creste come quella del Lema, dove praticamente é un'unica convergenza termica a dominare il crinale e il vento termico é costante, con vento a favore la termica si gira, con vento contrario la termica va volata "surfando" a delfino. Così facendo il volo contro vento é molto più efficiente e si evita di perder tempo in inutili giri di termica che ci fanno allontanare dal nostro obbiettivo. Girare la termica controvento é utile solamente per guadagnare quota in vista di un lungo traversone con vento a sfavore: partire bassi significherebbe sprofondare nel ventone con poche speranze di recupero. Matteo Caprari vince la task con margine abissale.

Tagesgangwetter, Temperaturen wie Frühling, ganze Woche müssen wir früh startbereit sein. Dienstag: Tagesgangwetter Mittwoch Tagesgangwetter Prognose macht ab Mittag verbreitet Niederschlag. Aber es kann auch einen Durchgang geben, detaillierte Prognosen sind bei dieser Wetterlage nicht für mehrere Tage möglich. Freitag Schaut im Moment am besten aus.

"Minileague" der Name im Tessin und Mini bei uns heute die Teilnehmerzahl. Ich nehme an, das bombastische Wetter hat die meisten zum "Streckele" verführt. Wir waren heute in der Kleingruppe unterwegs und haben einen neuen Task angesetzt. Zuerst ging es ganz bewusst um einen sauberen Start und um's Schnellfliegen. Im zweiten Teil ging's dann um die Linenwahl und gutes Gleiten. Nach einer superschönen Tour de Engelberg haben wir uns via Haldigrat nach Zug tragen lassen. Überaschendes Highlight am Schluss: Über der statt ging's quasi im Landeanflug nochmals überraschend hoch und man konnte während vielen Kreisen durch eine "Raglete" Geburtstags-Luftballongs turnen. Auf 900m ü.M. ziemlich weit verteilt. Never seen before! :) Debriefing: bilateral. Cool war's! Gruss Roschi
