SIK am Weekend: Entscheidung für Samstag am Freitag Mittag
Martin Scheel,
11. June 2015

Swiss Cup Engelberg: Perfekte Bedingungen, 55km, Steph Morgenthaler gewinnt souverän + Rankings
Martin Scheel,
6. June 2015
Overall: 1. Steph Morgenthaler 2. Alfredo Studer 3. Michi Rohner 4. Christoph Trutmann 5. Mario Pfister Frauen: 1. Yael Margelisch 2. Daniela Iseli 3. Nicole Leuenberger Sportklasse: 1. Michel Kopp 2. Michael Moratti 3. Marco Vergari

Weather report: Looks pretty ok
Martin Scheel,
6. June 2015
With all the pictures (and the comparison of two models, COSMO2 (Search.ch) vs. WRF (Flugbasis)) I try to find out, where the Congestus are first, and where we can fly longer. The thermal prognosis are from metoparapente and Regtherm

The weather reports did change slightly. The organizer will decide about sunday tomorrow.

Swiss Cup Engelberg: Saturday is ON, decision for Sunday tonight at 18 h
Martin Scheel,
5. June 2015
Saturday: As usual in such kind of (humid and warm) situation, the different models show different prognosis … COSMO7: pretty pessimistic COSMO2: Shows more or less normal day-weather: Clouds developing pretty early, but ok ALARO: Similar to COSMO2 GME-COSMO EU (Regtherm): lots of high clouds, weak thermal development In the sum we believe, that regardless of high and middle clouds a task will be possible. Sunday: The wind turns to NW and N, all the humidity will be pushed towards the northern side of the alps. Personally I don’t believe, that a task will be possible. The decision is delayed to tonight, because we like to follow the development some more hours. Infos about the Swiss Cup Saturday: http://www.psctitlis.ch/aktuell/152-swiss-cup-engelberg-6-bis-7-juni-2015.html Important: Pls. calculate small traffic problems because of the Strongmen Run.

Swiss Cup Engelberg: Preview, decision Friday noon
Martin Scheel,
4. June 2015
The weather will not be as nice, as it looks, because of a lot of humidity. Saturday: - cumulus will rise up at noon - Congestus in the afternoon - small possibility of rain in the afternoon, evening - no problem with winds At the moment I would think, that a task is possible. Sunday: - early development of congestus, early possibility of showers I don't think, a task will be possible. Decision will be made Friday noon.
Italian Paragliding Championship
Task 1
Gabriela Mettler,
1. June 2015
Reynald Mumenthaler,
31. May 2015
We had a great flight on Satruday as we were able to fly with the wind from Salève to Villeneuve! More than 20 pilots reached the goal and we had good fun in train on the way back:-) For today, we wanted to "play" in the flatflands in front of the Salève as some cumulus already appeared at 10.30am announcing a promising day. Unfortuntately, the South-West came stronger and earlier than expected even in low altitude, so we canceled the task for safety reason. Hope all pilots enjoyed this event as much as much we did and we are looking forward to seeing you next year. See below the ranking (the complete rankings are attached below). Overall: 1/ Jan Sterren - Ozone Enzo 2 2/ Pascal Walker - Ozone Enzo 2 3/ Marco Vergari - Nova Triton 2 Female: 1/ Daniela Iseli - UP Trango XC3 2/ Yael Margelisch - Niviuk Icepeak 7 3/ Gabriela.Mettler - Niviuk Peak 3 Sport class: 1/ Marco Vergari - Nova Triton 2 2/ Andreas Nydegger - UP Trango XC3 3/ Reynald Mumenthaler - Nova Triton 2 & Jacques Vuffray - Nova Mentor 3 Cheers, Reynald

Swiss Cup Salève - The Regtherm looks good and additional waypoints
Reynald Mumenthaler,
29. May 2015
Hello everyone, if the regtherm is right, we will have a great day tomorrow:-) See below. I added few waypoints (you can download the new file with the link below) just in case we decide to fly with the wind. This is typically the type of condition where local pilots will fly towards Villeneuve.... See you tomorrow. Cheers, Reynald
Swiss Cup Salève 2015
Swiss Cup Salève - it is confirmed for Saturday and Sunday!!!
Reynald Mumenthaler,
29. May 2015
Hi everyone, we checked the latest weather forecast and we believe that we can run tasks on Saturday and Sunday. It will count for the Swissleague. Weather info: See below the maps for more details. We should have, on Saturday, some South-West Wind going down during the afternoon and turning to North West. North West is the best wind to race along the Salève and in the flatlands in front of it as it creates some confluence. We might have some high level clouds but still enough sun to have good thermals. Sunday looks good as well. Waypoints and map: You can download the waypoints and the map by using the link below Logisitic: - Meeting point: Centre vol libre Genève, Route de Bossey 21,1256 Troinex, Google map link - Inscription: from 9am to 10.30am at the meeting point (see above) - There is a possibility to install your tent on the landing area to spend the night (the club will organize Dinner for those who want, you will need to register for this during the inscription) We are looking forward to welcoming you in Geneva! Don't forget: we have a big airport near by, so please check airspaces;-)

Swiss Cup Salève: It looks pretty good! Final decision for Saturday tomorrow noon.
Martin Scheel,
28. May 2015
Yesterday it was looking very humid for Saturday. Now the wether reports look much better (not only for Geneva). The organizers just toplanded to check the weather and make the decision: Final decision for Saturday will be done tomorrow, Friday at 12 o clock. Now the organizers will fly until dark :-). We wish them a nice sunset flight and a good landing!

Swiss Cup Salève 2015 - some info
Reynald Mumenthaler,
27. May 2015
Hi everyone, it is still quite early to have a reliable weather forecast for the coming weekend but so far, the models look good for the Swiss Cup in Salève. We will provide more details related to the weather tomorrow night (Thursday) and we will confirm the event either on Thursday night or on Friday noon. Meanwhile, you can already download below the waypoints and the map. We hope to see all of you this weekend. P.S: have a look to the airspaces around Geneva, we have a big airport which is not that far;-)
Swiss League Cup Jura (ex. OGO)
Martin Scheel,
17. May 2015
